New Electric Vehicle Charging Points for Dalry
A heads up from the council that we're getting some new electric vehicle charging points in the village:
"Please find plans for 4 x 7KW Dual Chargepoints (8 bays) to be installed at Carson’s Knowe Car Park, New Galloway and for 1 x 7KW Dual and 1 x 7KW Single Chargepoint (3 bays) at Kirkland St Car Park, Dalry. These Chargepoints are for Public use and a tariff of 25p per KW, £1.50min charge applies at the moment but is under review at present due to the increase in energy costs. Work will commence from Monday 12th September and will last for up to 3 weeks. Lotus Electrical Ltd and SPEN are contracted to carry out the work on behalf of Dumfries and Galloway Council (DGC). This project is 75% funded by the Dept of Transport UK Govt and the remaining amount by Dumfries and Galloway Council. We hope to keep any inconvenience to a minimum for all local residents, visitors and nearby businesses.
Please don’t hesitate to contact James Doyle 07921 648109, DGC’s contract and site manager if you have any questions."
